To have athletes and sports teams perform at their best when it counts, precise monitoring and assessment methods for their physical changes and body status are essential. Accurate relevant data enhances athletic progress in training, minimizes the risk of injury and facilitates back-to-sport processes.
Our innovative 3D body scan technology for sports medicine applications BodyLoop sets new standards here.
Our 3D body scanner provides real 360° body mapping. In combination with advanced analysis software it therefore enables the comprehensive assessment of the body statics and symmetry of athletes and patients – including distances, circumferences, angles and deviations.
These accurate, absolutely repeatable measurements promote performance development, sports medicine treatment, statistical analysis and biomechanical studies.
What also contributes to the quality and repeatability of the data collected by the BodyLoop is the short capturing time. A 360° one-shot image takes less than a second without the subject having to move in any way. This not only makes body scanning less prone to error, but also more comfortable for the athletes. The high-speed system is additionally ideal for mass scans of entire sports groups, such as soccer or football teams.
And since processing requires no more than a minute, the results are available immediately, so to speak, accelerating all related processes, from the optimization of training routines to rehabilitation.
One focus in the development of our solution was on usability. The 3D scanning platform is intuitive and does not require special training or expert personnel. Thanks to its ease of use, almost all sports teams, sports associations and biomechanics laboratories can benefit from this cutting-edge 3D-based athlete assessment and obtain the valuable biomechanical data.
The accuracy and reliability of the 3D body scan platform is demonstrated by its predecessors, the Vitus body scanners. These technologies have been an internationally recognized reference on the market for over 30 years. They are utilized in many relevant sectors – among them biomechanics, ergonomics and sports science, where their data is used as ground truth in many studies. This experience gained in close cooperation with users is just as much the basis of the advanced BodyLoop as its state-of-the-art technology.
