From September 15 to 19, 2025, VITRONIC will once again be exhibiting live at SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN in Essen – the leading international trade fair for joining, cutting, and coating. Under the motto “Join the Future,” the company will be presenting state-of-the-art technologies for weld seam inspection and data integration at the joint booth of the MetaFacturing EU.project in Hall 3, Booth 3B63.1.

Among the highlights of the trade fair are the proven VIRO WSI, a high-precision, AI-supported system for automated weld seam inspection, and Weld-loop, the powerful platform for linking and analyzing inspection and process data. Together, these solutions demonstrate how quality assurance works today – and how it will become even smarter, more connected, and more efficient in the future.

Our customers expect solutions that not only meet current quality requirements, but also make them fit for the manufacturing of the future. That's exactly what we're showing in Essen – live, practical and with an absolute novelty.”

The technologies presented are not only used in industry, but are also a central component of the MetaFacturing EU project. This EU-funded project brings together leading industry and research partners to develop a fully digital, AI-supported toolchain for metal parts production. The goals are greater resilience, more sustainability, and increased efficiency.

At the MetaFacturing project booth, visitors can experience a fully functional demo system that combines inspection and process data in real time. In technical presentations, VITRONIC experts explain how this integration helps to detect errors early on, optimize processes, and significantly reduce scrap. In addition, our experts Benjamin Schlosser and Peter Daniel will give a presentation at the DVS Congress on Wednesday, September 17, entitled “Optimization of automated weld seam inspection with artificial intelligence methods in image processing.”

A special highlight of the trade fair is the premiere of WSI WEB. The new browser-based application makes it possible to analyze and document inspection data regardless of location and feed it directly back into the production process—without any local software installation. This increases flexibility, reduces response times, and makes quality assurance even more accessible.

Visit us from September 15–19, 2025, in Hall 3, Booth 3B63.1, and experience the future of intelligent weld seam inspection live.
